T-Mobile Ameo (HTC Athena) Smartphone
The new T-Mobile Ameo, to be released as both the Ameo and HTC Athena, is a windows mobile 5.0 based smartphone that combines the form and functionality of a mobile phone with that of a laptop delivered in a unique and sophisticated device.
Weighing just 350g for huge capability of this handset, the T-Mobile Ameo, based on the design of the HTC Athena, still manages to offer a superb 5 inch TFT touchscreen and a Qwerty keyboard that's detachable, turning the Ameo into a miniature laptop.
Making it even easier, the keyboard is simply re-attached using a magnetic strip and the handset is controlled by a stylus.
Then there's the 8Gb hard drive, that's expandable by way of a miniSD slot, 3.0 mega pixel camera with video record and plaback, secondary camera for video calling, built-in GPS, HSDPA, EDGE, WiFi and UMTS support.
Then there's TV Output, Bluetooth Wireless, Stereo Speakers, support for Blackberry push email and the ability to run Powerpoint slide shows on a projector.
Running on a 624 Mhz processor, the Quad Band T-Mobile Ameo, competing with the likes of the Apple iPhone for first place, is a Pocket PC of pure genius.
whether looked upon as a low level laptop or high level smartphone, one has to admit this multimedia device really does offer a massively impressive spec.
