Nokia 1209 Blue Mobile Phone
One of two new budget handsets from Nokia is the Nokia 1209 with the other being the Nokia 2600 Classic.
Both candybar's, the Nokia 1209 is designed to keep the costs of calls to a minimum and therefore concentrates on key features that allow complete management of call costs.
For starters there's the added advantage of multiple phonebooks each of which will hold details of up to 200 contacts, and there's five of those.
For cost tracking purposes, the Nokia 1209 comes with a Time Tracker and Cost Tracker allowing calls to be limited by either time or cost and when the time period set has been reached the call is ended.
If there are multiple users of the 1209, amounts owing on calls made can be determined and pre-paid balances can be monitored with the Pre-Paid Tracker.
Especially pratical for use in developing countries, the Nokia 1209 is a pretty intelligent phone and that's not all it can do.
Noise cancellation filters decrease the intrusion of background noise on phone calls and using the power saver mode when idle will conserve energy that can then be used to extend the talktime period.
The Nokia 1209 can be viewed in a choice of 80 different languages and its even got its own built-in flashlight helping you find your way around in the dark.
And always worth a mention is its dust resistant keypad.
